Baitul Aman Masjid Inc. started its operation in November 2000; at a house in Murphy Road, Wilmington, DE 19803.


In 2004, we moved to First Unitarian Church at Halstead Road, Wilmington, DE 19803. We were there till 2006.


And then we moved to our current location at 2219 Naamans Rd, Wilmington, DE 19810. This is our permanent location which was bought  in 2007.


This has been an active place for Friday’s prayer and Islamic Calendar Days celebration. We also hold weekend school that deals with religious, cultural and language art. To meet  the growing  needs of our community we are continuously expanding both our services, as well as our physical footprint.

The Muslim Society of Delaware aspires to be the anchor of a growing Muslim community with diverse backgrounds, democratically governed, relating to one another with inclusiveness and tolerance and interaction with neighbors in an Islamic exemplary manner. Muslim Society of Delaware started Sunday School, Quran Academy, Community Service , Counseling and more. MSD engages in regular interfaith, government  relations , Social services, and much more. 

The objective of Masjid Baitul Aman  is to cater to the spiritual requirements of the Muslim community residing in the North Wilmington(DE) region. We offer religious, social, and educational services to empower the community in fulfilling their religious obligations, enhancing their spiritual practices, and nurturing a future generation of Muslims who adhere to their faith with profound knowledge. Our  aim is to provide services in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah and recognize the nuances and challenges of the American Muslim experience. As such, we aim to invest in the next generation of American Muslim leaders and thinkers to continue to develop a Muslim community of great morals and excellent practices.

Our Vision is to Define and Convey a clear perception and understanding of the Islamic teachings to Muslims and Non-Muslims. We aim to inspire an appreciation of Islamic values by educating the community about the religion and its principles, and by demonstrating their effectiveness in today’s world. Our spiritual vision is to pursue faith, knowledge, justice, freedom, purpose, and righteousness in a peaceful and caring environment.

Structure

Masjid Baitul Aman  is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that currently operates with 11 Board of Directors. The Board of Directors has appointed specific member committees responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the mosque.
